Large numbers of these people won't get power back until this weekend. The local power company had sent many of their work crews to help in TX and LA. Of course these crews are now high tailing it back home.
Local weather guys are calling Ike a hundred year weather event for this area. I know in my 50 years I've never seen anything like it.
