Some of these people who want to talk down just have no idea.
I was alive in 1983 and remember the aftermath of Alicia all too well, not to mention the storm itself. It took three weeks for some to get their power back.
If there is anyone on here who is offended by my trying to locate dear friends, tough s*** for them.

I remember Alicia. We had a two year old and a two month old. We were just telling her about Alicia. I don’t know how she took all those naps in the heat, not even a fan running, no elec. She said “I still love the heat” We told her about her bottles. No frig, so we used bottled water and powdered formula. Then had to throw out what she didn’t drink. She said “That must be why I still hate milk” LOL
