Just re-reading your post about some possible Katrina-like thinking possibly showing up in parts of Galveston...given the reports from local and Steve harrigan- it seems to be starting already.

Ok, so I’m not SO sad that the satellite isn’t getting a signal yet and I don’t have to listen to it all. Some things are way to predictable :-)

I haven't said anything before because we beam with pride when we see the “Texas spirit but it's not just limited to Texas. There are people like this all over the country , including LA. They are the ones that will quietly re-build. We don't hear much about them in Alabama and Mississippi and won't from Texas soon. The problem I see is that LA had a huge pocket of Katrina “victims” Ours will make some noise, get a little media attention but we won't sit back and watch millions of our tax dollars go to worthless causes without making some noise of our own. Texans would probably have turned NO into a park by now.
