Notice how the upper windows survived, while the band of blown out glass seems to be at midheigth? Looks like some wind interaction with the ground or nearby buildings had some effect. More confirmation that conditions were right at, but a fuzz below catastrophic levels. Interesting...

Heard earlier today that apparently one of the nearby buildings has a flat roof with pea gravel on it. The high wind apparently picked it up and shot up the windows on that side!

A few days ago someone said the exact same thing happened during Hurricane Alicia. Hard to believe that situation wasn’t fixed in 25 years.
