-"As president, John McCain will strongly support funding for promising research programs, including amniotic fluid and adult stem cell research and other types of scientific study that do not involve the use of human embryos". - www.johnmccain.com
This is what the news article says. McCain’s spokesman did not confirm that McCain would support EMBRYONIC stem cell research.
This week, campaign spokesman Ben Porritt cited McCain’s Senate voting record but would not specify whether a McCain-Palin administration would support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. He said only that they would “support stem cell research,” which could refer to amniotic or reprogrammed adult stem cells.
A radio advertisement his campaign released Friday called “Stem Cell” says McCain would lead his congressional allies to improve America’s health with medical breakthroughs but doesn’t mention the word “embryonic.”

We support non-embryonic stem cell research. I think Paln does too. McCain is moving that way. Let’s not give the left any more ammo than it has.
I don't vote for the "lesser of two evils" when it involves human life.
I'll debate someone on illegal immigration, taxes, etc. - but anyone willing to take innocent human life does not belong in elected office. Period.
Try to flip the question, politicket. If your vote could save the lives of 4,000 babies a year, is it biblically right to withold it because you can’t have it all?
This isn't an "internecine" battle - it's a battle for innocent human life. The Holy Bible is very clear what stand Christians should take, and folks like Sarah Palin have done that. John McCain has been hypocritical in his position and needs to repent of it. Otherwise, he is operating directly opposed to God's Word.
I’m looking at McCain from the aspect of saving human life. I know what I have heard from his own lips. It appears that his position is moving in our direction. I will vote for him because I believe many many more babies will live. If Obama gets in, we will have not only an abortion promoting president but a live born infant murderer. The comparison between the two isn’t exactly equal.
I will give you one last opportunity to ADMIT that you are MISTAKEN on McCain's position on this issue - OR PROVIDE a direct LINK to substantiate your erroneous claim that McCAIN "supports EMBRYONIC stem cell research".
Here is the DISINFORMATION link from the MSM that is carrying the RAT's water pail on disinforming McCain's position... WA COMPOST.
Is this the LINK that you are referring to???
I have no problem with non-embryonic stem cell research. Anyone here that has followed McCain for any length of time knows full well his position on ths issue. I have not heard him (actual words from his mouth) back down from his position. If he does it publicly and means what he says then my family will be more than happy to support the ticket - it is the only thing standing in the way, even though I disagree with him on a whole host of non-life issues.
From the thread on the new McCain stem cell ad:
‘The omission (of embryonic research from the ad) is not a signal that McCain is backing away from his record in favor of embryonic stem cell research, spokesman Brian Rogers said.
“Clearly, John McCain supports it,” he said, emphasizing that the ad is intended to refer to all forms of stem cell research, including experiments using human embryos and those using cells from adults.’
So, does this mean McCain supports stem cell research using embryos that already exist? How does one acquire these embryos without “growing” them?
I’ll give McCain the benefit of the doubt and assume there’s some communication snafu. But the McCain camp needs to stop sending mixed signals.
You are correct. There is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE from anyone that McCain supports “EMBRYONIC” stem cell research. The MSM is trying to cause confustion by OMMISSION of this fact in their article. And now we have some here on this forum trying to CAUSE MAYHEM (purposefully??) over this blantant misinformation. If they don’t provide direct evidence to support their MAYHEM, they are nothing more than NOBAMA accomplices.
Your CAPITAL letters are getting a bit old. I would also be very careful about who you call "ignorant"
Tell you what - why don't YOU go put the following terms into Google search: mccain embryonic stem cell - and then get back to me once you have a clue.

BTW...I’m not trying to argue. I’m just trying to help clear this up so we can move on.
bttt
You are behaving like the holier-than-thou Jews in Luke 10:25-37(a priest and a Levite)who claimed to keep God’s Law perfectly but were hypocrites as they passed by the helpless man who was beaten by the highwaymen. The good Samaritan (Samaritans were considered to be the lowest form of heretic by the Jews) did right as he dealt with the situation as God would have it.
We have a clear choice in this election and McCain is 99.7% right on this issue and is moving towards 100%. Obama bin Liden is 100% pro-choice.
See my post #28. Unless he was misquoted, this “Brian Rogers,” a McCain spokesman, is contradicting McCain’s stated position.
"Since then, several prominent Republicans have come out in favor of limited stem cell research, including the United States Senators Orrin Hatch of Utah and John McCain of Arizona, as well as Nancy Reagan, the former first lady. But opponents of the New Jersey bill say it goes beyond limited research, and would allow a procedure called "somatic cell nuclear transfer," which some scientists consider a human cloning technique."
Sorry, my post was meant to go to LibFreeUSA...
You can cast all of the aspersions that you want.
The biblical facts are clear about the murder of innocents.
there is a line of available embryos used in stem cell research that has long been approved. The concern of pro-lifers is that children would be conceived and aborted to provide new embryos for the research.
By you not voting you are duplictous in getting Obama elected and are an enabler of his pro-abortion policies and that makes you an Acessory to the murder of innocents.
