It is a hit piece.....I thought it was going to be an interview. Why did they ever agree to this?????

Well apparently our local ABC newscaster didn’t bother to read the transcript. He’s making it sound as if troopergate hanging over Sarah’s head is a real problem for the McCain camp and showed only Gibson’s question and not Sarah’s answer. He also commented on the earmarks that she’s having ‘difficulty explaining’. To whom? To the minds at ABC that are closed to anyone but Obama.
They’ve been hit with worse (remember the pregnancy) and the hysteria around the convention...and they came out fine. The media had intended to drive her out within the first 72 hours..it didn’t happen, she just got more popular through all their hysteria. Things will be fine!

Oh yes, they won’t be able to control themselves. I bet they can’t wait to rip her up one side and down the other, laugh at her, mock her.
They don’t get that we hate them more and more and more and more people hate them more and more and more.
Man, the more I see BHO, the more I am convinced that he is a PENCIL NECK. I mean it. That guy has a skinny pencil neck. It’s amazing. Very un-presidential.
I’m convinced that MSM has already lost it’s credibility and no one’s mind is going to be changed by these interviews. Debates maybe but not interviews by MSM.
We all know what they’re trying to do to Sarah, it’s obvious and those of us who watch these things, liberal or conservative have already made up our minds. Those who are fence sitting and may be likely to be influenced probably don’t watch these programs anyway. If they were active news junkies they’d be supporting Sarah by now. How could any logically thinking person support Obama?
That's very interesting, because this article titled: "Equal pay for equal work? Busted: McCain, Clinton Pay Women Better than Obama!" shows Obama doesn't even pay his own female staff the same as he pays the men. Here's the FR link to the posted article:
The video will get played but the words will come out and show how ABC selectively cut out a lot. MSM is over.
Sarah did great and ABC can't edit the transcript.
The McCain camp should not put Sarah through this again. Facing Putin is no worse.
It’s having the exact opposite effect, in fact. But the Left is too scared and hate-filled to see it.

I think you’re right and it’s why McCain/Palin keep getting better poll numbers. Most see right through this effort to kill her except those liberals whose minds are made up. I don’t think any fence sitter is going to be influenced by the bias in MSM. It’s out in the open now for the whole world to see. They are killing themselves.
I wouldn't call it the best move but I wouldn't call it a blunder. For better or worse many people saw these interviews and of several points where Sarah actually got to explain ("Troopergate", "Banning Books") Palin was clear, concise and convincing. I believe many viewers that may be on the fence, election-wise, said to themselves, "I read this about 'Troopergate' and had this negative impression and Palin was very convincing in her defense. I wonder what other accusations are actually trumped up or being misreported?"
Overall Gibson was clearly making presumptive statements and asking loaded questions and his demeanor came across as such. When he said Sarah had hired all the commissioners that were investigating her and Sarah kindly retorted that actually her predecessor had hired all the commissioners it was a direct slap to Gibson and his team of "researchers". Again many viewers said to themselves, "If Gibson and ABC were so completely wrong on a very basic fact like that what else were they misinformed about when forming/posing their questions."
I believe that McCain/Palin choices will be more strategic, Sarah will do the round of Sunday talk shows wiht increasing frequency where the live/live taping element allows more extensive answers and little to no editing. And if more shows like the View are done in the remaining weeks the theory is that the media is clearly doing cheap shots on Palin and many people have come to recognise that and will respect her for taking the hits.
What are you basing this on? Sarah was fabulous and held her own against a bully.
I’m half way through a double Margarita I fixed. I’ve calmed down enought o just want Charlie-Tuna Gibson to be popped around by a pod of dolphins, then deposited on a New Jersey beach ... those are the most polluted still, aren’t they?

There’s also the part about Hollis French (aka Troopergate hitman) introducing Zero’s plan on making the US energy independent (and talking about his strong support for the natural gas pipeline, incidentally). That by itself probably deserves a separate thread.
