I read Dr. Sowell's "Basic Economics" about 4 months ago and was stunned by how well he instructs in such a simple -easy to understand- manner for neophytes like myself.

"Basic Economics" should be required reading for all U.S. Legislators (maybe the Constitution should be too).

Unfortunately, the legislators know all about supply and demand. It's just that, for them, the temptation to make themselves look good by demagoguing every nitwit who thinks you can legislate prices and maintain supply is just too great to resist.
