Here’s the link to the weather station on the Garden Banks oil rig out in the Gulf. The winds will be exaggerated because it’s 122 meters (~400 feet) up in the air, but still. It also might provide an indication of what could happen if this thing tracks the highest winds right into downtown Houston.

Latest observation, 108.8 knots (125.12 mph), pressure 28.61”.

National Data Buoy Center at Station 42001 is reporting waves of 25 feet. (6:50 AM CDT ) today.
