Is there much population on the coast to the east of Galveston Island up to the LA/TX line?
Nah. But that’s cold comfort to the people on Bolivar right now. Apparently that sucker’s already deep underwater and people are being rescued off the tops of buildings. This according to a release just issued by KHOU. Coast Guard doing a rescue of at least 60 stranded people on Bolivar.
There’s a good bit around the Golden Triangle (Port Arthur, Beaumont, Orange), other than that, not a lot at all.
