The first thing you MUST do is establish the principles. Then, no matter the political lay of the land, you cannot sacrifice those principles.

Otherwise, you end up where we are now. Every time.

The false idea that this is a problem only of the courts has run its inevitable course. We will not stop abortion in America until every single officer of the United States is held to the standard of their sworn oath to the Constitution, which clearly protects innocent human life.

But again, no state or individual has a right to alienate what is unalienable.

The first thing you MUST do is establish the principles.

Establish the principles with whom? I know what I believe, which is what the Church teaches--and also the basic principles in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

But, sorry, it doesn't matter what you or I believe, unless it can be put into practice. That means persuading others, and it means electing others. Otherwise, you will find yourself arguing with the likes of David Souter or Barack Obama, and they'll pay no attention to you at all.
