Fine here too, but I don’t think she is doing that well.

I'm on pins and needles. Can you elaborate? Based on the quotes we have been reading she sounds great. So what's up?

Not too bad either. She stumbled by not recognizing the definition of "The Bush Doctrine."

Not a home run by any means, but a solid double.

She doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is.

Iam actually sort of happy that she does only okay. As long as she doesn't make a major blunder, her not doing that well is great from the strategic point of view. Conservatives (here in FR as well as other places) have annointed her as the One, as if she cannot make any mistake. Not only it puts pressure on her, we also make the expectation too high that it might be dangerous. Now, with her not so-stellar performance, Biden will try to show his superiority and experience advantages. Heck, I'm not surprise if he even gives her some lectures in the debate.

With all her positive traits, Palin still needs to study more. Let her go to camp for couple days. Politics is a game of expectation. Today, expectation for Palin has been lowered and it's good for her going to the debate.

I watched the whole thing - no sound problems, but I detected some bumps where they must have edited out dead time.

I thought she did very well. She was articulate, forceful, and didn’t seem intimidated. In fact I thought Gibson seemed a bit ashamed of what he was doing - often didn’t look her in the eye. What he was doing of course carrying the bilgewater of the MSM.

Afterwards I heard the “panel” on Fox confirm my impression that she avoided all Gibson’s traps and even a reluctant Juan Williams - who clearly doesn’t like her - said that there were no glitches in her performance.
