Report: Palin Asked Rick Warren For Advice
Posted by Vaughn Ververs| Comments5
GOP VP nominee Sarah Palin called influential pastor Rick Warren earlier this week to ask for advice on how to handle the criticism that has come her way, The Hill reports.
In a California radio interview, Warren said that Palin had called him to seek help in dealing with the unfair, unjust attacks she said she believes had been launched at her since being tapped as John McCains running mate. Warren recounted the conversation, saying he responded by saying, the question I asked her was 'how can I pray for you?'"
Warren said Palin asked him to send her some bible verses on how do you deal with the unfair, unjust attacks and the mean-spirited criticism that comes in."

Strange that he would share the details of their convesation.

Sara should read the Psalms of David
To: Chet 99
Sounds like a lot of the Psalms written by David might be comforting to her right about now.

Remind me never to bring anything personal or sensitive to the attention of Mr. Warren.

Cue fainting spells and loud gasps from the Left.
To: Rumierules
In poor taste if you ask me. I don’t recall Billy Graham ever divulging the substance of conversations he’s had with politicians.

Doesn't pass the smell test.
Sarah grew up in a strong Christian family and strong Bible-based church and has a mature walk with the Lord.
Given that, she would be well familiar with tons of verses David states in the Psalms regarding God's strenght against our enemies, Jesus' words, the Apostles' words all stating how God is with us and to expect the enemies' lies.
I suspect either someone on the good side is trying to jump in on the 'I helped the Phenom', or, trying to make her look weak.

If true, quite reprehensible on the part of Mr. Warren.

So much for pastoral confidentiality.

No confidentiality among the Left. This has happened before, where a person seeks guidance from a religious leader, only to have that person tell. I don't recall the specifics, maybe I'll find something on the net.

Somehow I find this hard to believe. Do you think Warren’s fame may have made him a little delusional?
Maybe he dreamed it.
Besides, as a pastor, his interactions with people in the form of counseling should be private and not be publicized.
I have very strong doubts about this story.

My bet is that she didn’t call. The fact that this clown “revealed” the conversation exposes him as someone Sarah wouldn’t tolerate.
To: Chet 99
Wow. Attacks “she believes” had been launched against her? Like, she’s just imagining the whole thing?

So much for the confidentiality of conversations between you and your pastor. Rick Warren has never seen a TV camera he doesn’t like.
