Yes the military has access to juvenille records. Every person I enlisted (120+) had to be investigated. The recruiters start the process and the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) takes it over from there.
I have heard of cases where a kid will tell a judge that “I’m gonna join the military” and the naive judge will dismiss charges. The judge has no authority over the military to enforce an elistment. Also, when the kid tries to enlist, dismissed or not, the original charges usually show up and must be waivered even if no conviction was posted.
The military has no innocent until proven guilty clause when it comes to enlisting. Every charge guilty, innocent, plead, dismissed etc. gets vetted so that the military does not let garbage enlist.

Following that limited line of logic, wouldn’t the judge simply have dismissed the charges against Track Palin, rather then “forcing him to join the military”? Now, THAT would be preferential treatment. I mean, forcing him to join the military to be sent to Iraq ... how can you even claim that that is preferential treatment?
And, by the way, you ignored my question about where you’re getting your intimate knowledge of how these thing work. DU? KOS? Huffington?

But I don’t know of any reason why a juvenile court can’t do it without any assistance from the military. That obviously wouldn’t prove it happened in this case, but it’s not at all clear that it’s impossible. And the two allegations are perfectly separable. The two vandals claim Track wasn’t one of their unnamed co-vandals, but that doesn’t prove he wasn’t. He could have been one of the co-vandals, without the “given the alternative or military service or prison” story being true.

It is a goofy looking car, but it goes pretty quick if you want it to. I just bought my second one (first one had 130k miles on it— still running great. My son now drives it.) Never had any problems with either of them. And while I can’t say I have had mine up to 85, I have been 80 and it was no problem—
I am no greenie, but the Prius really is a fun car— and my new one is averaging right at 50 mpg overall— mostly highway...

Even if the judge wanted to do so, unless the entire arrest was deleted from the system, the Army would have found it in the background check before allowing him to enlist. Unless you are going to claim more knowledge than someone who actually did that kind of work, your theories have been debunked. Buh-bye!
