Well, for one thing, William Ayers has gone from being "a friendly neighbor" to being a long-time associate and an important promoter of Obama's career. Not to mention a parallel relationship between Ayers' wife -- Bernadine Dohrn -- and Michelle Robinson, that began before she married Barack.
