I would like to know what kind of girls Obama dated. What kind of a woman,besides Michelle really appealed to him? How did he come to the decision to marry Michelle? Sometimes he acts like he has negative feelings towards women,especially being so militantly pro-abortion.

Michelle was the "right" woman for the constituency Obama needed to win over. Given Obama's political aspirations and the neighborhood he picked to begin his career, his wife would have to be African-American and more a part of the Black community than he was. So Barack may resent having his options limited by his political aspirations.

Obama comes from a very different background from John Kennedy, but for both men the women they married may not have been the ones they'd have chosen for themselves if politics hadn't been a factor, and there may be some resentment about that.

It's clear that Obama had a problem with his father, and maybe with his mother as well but it's not always easy to separate out his own psyche from the problems that middle-aged guys do have with changing standards of political correctness.

As a female in a mainly male line of work, I have found generally that the biggest problems with sexism is from guys in their early 40's to their early 50's. I don't know if it was just a weird generation thing or a time of insecurity, but the old guys aren't a problem and neither are the young ones.

I have read most everything written about Obama in the last 18 months. This comment is the ONLY one I've ever seen written about Obama and girls/women (Michelle excepted):

Obama was 31 when he married. Yet, in all his memoir-writing, there are no females. What's up with that?

As an aside, according to the Internet Movie Data Base, Barack and Michelle went to the movies on their first date. The film that the happy loving couple chose to see was, "Do the Right Thing," which was produced and directed by Spike Lee.

The conclusion of the movie features a race riot in a Brooklyn pizzeria which takes place after an argument between the Italian owner of the shop and a black customer who refuses to turn down a loud boom box radio escalates into a full scale war inside the restaurant. The business ends up being destroyed as the building is set on fire by the angry mob.
