Now that would be interesting. I am a little annoyed with the reporters. It’s going to be bad, we know that, but honestly I swear, they’re going on like there is going to be nothing left.

Like NN says, prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

My daughter just called from Lubbock - they are having some weird storm out there and have gotten more than 5 inches of rain today! In that flat prairie land out there everything floods with this amount of rain!

Earlier in the week, I was worried for my sister in Corpus Christi. Now I am worried about myself in Dallas.

I’ve lived in Dallas all my life and this is the first time I’ve seen the local weather reports talking seriously about a legitimate tropical storm reaching all the way up here. I was too young to remember Alicia, and Rita was not considered a serious threat to the city itself.
