Everything is good here so far. Humble ISD has not cancelled any school (Dumb @sses). I am torn between leaving or hunkering down. These towering 80 foot pine trees are a major concern. Tell DH Hi for me and stay safe.
I grew up in Kingwood (Forest Cove, actually) and went through Alecia there. There were a LOT of those pine trees snapped like twigs. One tree in our neighbor’s yard snapped off at ground level and ended up in out backyard. Somehow it managed to clear a 6 foot fence without touching it.
pine trees don’t uproot so easily. they more likely will bend and twist. if they uproot then they will probably be the least of your concerns at that point
