It’s times like this when it is so stressful and frustrating being far away from family, especially the elders.
My wife doesn’t seem to be concerned, but this is closer than they’ve been to any hurricane in recent memory. And I just have this gut feeling...I hope I’m wrong...that Ike’s going to be a monster, worse than Rita.

And then, it just hit me...My one-and-only nephew, stationed at Ft. Hood, is gonna get SOMETHING as well!
He’s a crew chief on a CH-47, so you KNOW once Ike has passed, he’s gonna be part of the relief effort.
