Hi DM,

I’d check the Ch. 11 weather boards. I always lurk over there during hurricane season.

With regards to Harris County OEM, I can’t believe they’ve been sitting on school closures and evacuations. Half of my neighbors didn’t have a clue about where Ike was going to until I told them late this afternoon.

Don't you know the MSM does not stir up the natives until they deem it necessary? Why, if the natives knew about a storm they would demand coverage 24/7 and they would have to cancel Springer, Oprah, Montel plus all the soaps. Best keep em in the dark to the last minute.

My Baytown, TX, (35 miles east of Houston) girlfriend teacher said the Goose Creek ISD has already announced that schools will be closed on Friday and the Baytown mayor is recommending people evacuate.
