There is no doubt it was meant as a insult to the McCain campaign, but it was clearly not the calling of Palin “a pig”. If anything it was calling Palin the lipstick, and as I have stated before this is truly what liberals believe, that she’s just a do nothing pretty face meant to dress up the McCain campaign and sell it to the american people and that’s exactly what Fauxbama was saying.

Now I agree what was said and what people hear can often be too different things, and that’s the disappointing part of this nonsense. McCain has run his campaign quite effectively and criticized fauxbama justly and rightly, this sort of thing just cheapened it, and needlessly so. Surrogates and activists others would have made the conclusions being advocated here, even though it clearly was not what was met, there was no need for McCain campaign directly to knowingly and willingly take a quote out of context and misrepresent it like this.

I understand the advantages and benefits of doing it, but it wasn’t needed and just gives credence to what to date have been bogus claims of lying, misquoting and out of context charges made by the dems and their surrogates. Now they have a clear and obvious example where the campaign knowingly has done just that.

Very disappointing John, very very disappointing.

I think you are misled by the silliness of this.
McCain has forced Obama to give up his subliminal attack on Sarah as just a pretty face.
Of course Obama cannot attack her openly in that way without insulting millions of women,
so he has to attack her through some less optimum method- and he has to hide what he was really doing.

Seems like a legitimate two-fer to me.
