To try to clarify my point, Obama's stuff here is not a free speech matter, in the constitutional sense, because the constitution is referring to government intervention in suppressing speech. That's all it ever refers to.
What we have here is simply Obama's being entitled to an opinion, for which society is entitled to punish or reward him.
I didn't mean to be fastidious about it. It's not that big a deal.
