“Why would he want the pressure anyway? Good time he could be working on his memoirs.”
I disagree. I think Obama not only WANTS the Presidency, he feels he’s entitled to it, as a liberal AND as a black man, who obviously not only feels he’s “owed” something because of his race, but considers himself so intellectually superior to anyone else that anyone NOT voting for him is an obvious simpleton.

I think Obama, like an idiot, made the transposition in his mind, and thought he was being clever. If anything, I find the statement Freudian. After all, there is a certain group that believes pigs, dogs (ie, a pitbull), and women are all equally 'unclean.' Just my two cents...

you will see Obama stroke his forehead and hide his eyes when he utters the famous words. His body language betrays that he knows he is doing something shameful. Exactly!!

I dont think he intended to reference this to Palin Watch the Video! He knew....He knew exactly what he was saying.
To: RonDog
That’s a nice mind to be compared to. Tammy Bruce is a very clear thinker.

Right now, it really doesn’t matter WHAT he meant by this. He’s going to be caught in a firestorm of trying to explain what he meant. Many independents are not going to like this one little bit.

There is no way to not see the audience reaction to this. Agreed the campaign will move-on (pun-intended) but let this put the morning shows on defense. Then we drop it.
To: jveritas
Agreed.
I asked the Mrs., who is a very successful professional woman, what she thought of the comment when she first heard it. I was surprised. Her exact words were "How stupid of a person do you have to be to think that is a smart thing to say? I can't get to the point of being offended by it because I can't get past how stupid it was."

Based on the first 20 or so comments on here it appears people dont understand an expression when they see one. Its a very common expression. I don't know if 0bama meant to call Governor Palin a pig or not but the crowd took it that way.
It seemed to me that he was referring to the Governor though. He probably thought it was a lot more subtle and nuanced than it turned out to be. The Dems have been using the 'lipstick' buzzword for days alluding to Palin's joke about hockey moms.
