McCAin said at RNC he was for drilling offshore and drill now, and he said in MO yesterday he wanted to drill, drill, drill. Give Palin a couple of weeks and he’ll be wanting to drill in ANWAR.

As long as he’s winning on the issue anyway, he’s not going to change his stance to include ANWR. Palin might talk about it though. She seems to be her own person.

The best thing that McCain and Palin can do with the drilling thing is to emphasize that the reason the economy is weak is that oil is high, and the reason oil is high is the no drill policy that Obama and Biden have both championed.

It galls me everytime I hear libs say that McCain has no economic policy. The truth is that it’s Obama who has no economic policy. He’s opposed to drilling. He’s opposed to tax cuts, and in fact, wants to increase taxes. McCain has the opposite position on both issues. That’s an economic policy.
