Hmmm...why is George correcting him? Such gaffes from Obama occur far too often to be summarily dismissed with the excuses given. I think this is the first time in history that a political party has hired a full-time Gaffe Corrector and a Foot-In-Mouth-Fire-Put'er-Outter for their presidential nominee. It should be even more fun to watch after Joe sobers up and reemerges into the public eye.
These "gaffes" should certainly be taken full advantage of. The Democrats have excoriated Republicans since Quayle over these things. Barry can't talk more than a minute without putting his foot in his mouth and Biden is just as bad. Absofreakinglutely take advantage of it.
The interesting thing here is that if you remove what he said (Muslim) and replace it with Christian, the statement makes no sense. Why would McCain come after Barry because of his Christian faith? And it's not taken out of context because Stephanopoulos corrects him.
