With my first child, my water didn’t break but I was in labor. They broke my water at the hospital and I had my son not long after. I was only in the hospital an hour and half prior to his being born. With my second child, my water broke at around 8 p.m. at home, and I went to the hospital. He wasn’t born until 12 hours later. Everybody is different.

From my understanding her water was “leaking”, same thing happened to me with my second kid, no labor. The doc’s had me wait about 36 hours. Any woman who has had four kids already knows her body better than anyone else! This is such crap.

My water started leaking almost a full month before I finally gave birth. Through serial ultrasounds, antibiotics, and watchful waiting I was able to go almost full term. I was not on any travel restrictions (with the exception of seeing my MD two times a week), but to be honest the idea of airplane travel never came into play!

Since she was not in active labor, it really doesn't surprise me that she demanded to travel, and her doctor OK'd it.
