Obama considered joining military

How'd you like to be a drill sergeant with the opportunity to get into THAT guy's grill?

That was another obscenely dishonest line, IMHO. I was in ROTC in 1978 (later dropped out, then went to OTS in ‘83). In 1979, when he said he considered joining, we were NOT popular. On a very conservative campus in UTAH, I got a lot of strange looks and disparaging remarks wearing a uniform. I cannot imagine the response in much more liberal HAWAII.

Sorry, but this rates right up with Hillary claiming she wanted to join the Marines. In a pig’s eye, she did!

Oh, he considered it, did he? Well, wup-de-doo. Lets clap our hands in applause and admiration. Of course, there's no proof of this and even if there was, so what? Its actions that matter, not transitory musings. If Obama ever considered the military, it was from the perspective of how to make it smaller and weaker and/or an object of derision. And that goes for Hillary ("I considered the Marine Corps") too. What a bunch of a$$ clowns.
