Wow! great post...had not thought of the idiocy of ‘taking on the church on church doctrine.” HA!

I would think that those Maroons are up against 2000years of church doctrine and just even politically, do they really think they are a political or theogical match for the church?

taking on the church on church doctrine

and so my priest, in a sermon that had me riveted from beginning to end, went on about how influential Catholics are in elections, how we can make a difference, how Catholics swing elections.

Which is very true and I'm glad to know that the clerics are evidently aware of it.

I really, really hope, crossing fingers, that it all, ...the Pelosi statement...Pelosi who comes from Bishop Malooly's home state, and Joe Biden, the Delawarian who puts on great shows here as he goes to church, lights the candles and sings the hymns....I hope there's a movement a foot to take on these faux Catholics.

What Nancy Pelosi did was as bad as if she said that Jews really believe in Jesus Christ as son of God, that they're "debating the issue".

Catholics have to take on these lying hypocritical politicos and now, what with the McCain/Palin ticket being so obviously pro-life, what with Pelosi's AWFUL lies in public...if the Catholics don't grab on to the issue than shame on them.

The whole time Father Jim was giving his sermon I had to sit on my hands. I wanted to bad to raise my hand and ask..."So who should we vote for....the candidate who voted to ban early born Downs' Syndrome children to die alone in the laundry room or the candidate who bore her Downs' syndrome child to full term and loves him without conditions"?

I controlled myself, however, but it's a big deal to me.
