I don't think shy is how I would put it. More like normal. He definitely does not come across as fake or polished. More like s a very nice, average guy, with a good sense of humor.

Well, I heard an interview that said they knew this was coming, but a little surprised at the timing.
I would have liked to hear his whole speech.

A quiet unassuming hero in his own right. What a great guy. I’d like to go fishing and hunting with him.

I have a very hard time going there (drop deat.....well, you know what you said). I am a guy, but I like this guy, Todd. He, like Mrs. Palin IS America.

It’s about time there was some eye candy for women to watch in politices.

lol! My husband and my son are thoroughly in the tank for Sarah and I have nooo problem with that, fer sure.
What’s truly amazing is that my diehard Dem CT mother-in-law, unconvinced by anything else, watched Sarah’s speech and fell in love with her too.

I wish they'd leave the poor guy alone and not invade his dignity. Pity the poor man the possibility, say, of being interviewed live by Barbara Walters, Catie Couric or (actually, this would be hysterical but extreme cruelty to Todd) a day spent fishing or hunting with Matt Lauer! I'd long for him to stuff a tangerine in Lauer's mouth.
Come on, ladies, we should be respectful and admire this private man from a distance, and refrain from seeking more. We should ask ourselves: Would we like ourselves or husbands or any loved ones to be under such scrutiny while having to carry on as usual? Of course not! Spare him! Please!
Life ain't Oprah.

He did fine, for a guy who obviously doesn't care about the spotlight. He lets his actions do the talking.
I wish I was badass enough to do a 2000-mile snowmobile race. :P
And it's friggin' COLD up there!
