Sarah Palin's record on environment is abysmal
Seattle PI ^ | Sept. 5, 2008 | RICK STEINER

Posted on 09/05/2008 8:03:09 PM PDT by FocusNexus

In addition to her frightening lack of qualification to be vice president (much less president) of the United States, Palin is an evangelical, anti-choice, pro-gun, right-wing conservative who wants creationism taught in schools.

Although in the past two years the Arctic summer sea ice shrunk to the lowest levels ever recorded, Palin apparently does not believe it is human-induced or cause for alarm.

Oil and gas drilling. Palin has supported oil and gas drilling plans anywhere in Alaska, including in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the central Arctic, the entire Arctic Ocean, and in fish-rich Bristol Bay and Cook Inlet. On her watch, regulation and government oversight of Alaska oil facilities is terribly lacking, and she has declined to establish a citizens' advisory council to provide more effective public oversight of the expanding oil and gas operations in Arctic Alaska.

The pattern is clear. On the environment, Sarah Palin is essentially George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and perhaps James Watt rolled into one, but with a more pleasant demeanor.

If Gov. Palin’s record frightened him, surely Obama’s record made him tinkle himself.

I hope they keep going after her record. Obama takes a hit every time.

I'd rather be governed by Sarah than an egghead professor from the University Of Alaska! And Alaskans agree.

As opposed to a godless, pro-abortion, anti-Second Amendment, left-wing wacko?

She's doing ok.

I hear she goes up to ANWR with a propane torch, just to melt a little extra ice.

conservative who wants creationism taught in schools.

Will they never get it right? One of the other is not telling the whole truth, this is what they are always doing, telling the bad part and not qualifying it and putting it in context. The AP put a totally different slant on it, yes, before she was governor she wanted it taught alongside evolution, then when she being elected, kept her campaign promise not to push creationism in the schools.

Palin has not pushed creation science as governor

But now that the horse is out of the barn, I don't have time to do their journalistic homework for them.

Caribou run right alongside the pipeline, doesn't seem to have bothered anything. Let's wait and see if Sarah Palin gets a chance to say more about it. In an interview with Larry Kudlow, she said ANWR has a "footprint" about the size of LAX, just google sarah palin on youtube and the video should come up. I'm tired of coding links :-).

But bloggers just pick this stuff up and run with it as if it were gospel, perpetuating it all over cyberspace, leaving bigmouth tracks much larger than LAX lol.

This qualification thing is getting tiring. Sarah meets this standard........

http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

This stuff is really getting tiring. No where in the constitution does it say you have to have any certain level of education or have held certain elective offices for any set period of time. It doesn't even say you had to have held any elected office at all to get elected president. Did all the lefties cry, b__ch and moan that Ross Perot was unqualified?

Excuse me, FN. I just read the excerpt and the story cited no facts about anything harmful Gov. Palin has done to the environment in Alaska.

If I were to click into the rest of the article would I find any real information?

Who is Rick Steiner, and how in the hell did he get so full of s***. Rick can run Seattle into the ground, and Palin can run Alaska.

I would hazard a guess that each polar bear that dies in the ocean is a buffet of sorts for the ocean life. Life wastes nothing. That is how it works with whales when they die.

Ergo, she's Presidential material! (Read it and weep, Demoncrats.) (I guess David wasn't qualified to lead Israel or fight Goliath, but through faith in God, all things are possible.)

I hope Rick Steiner doesn’t get smashed by the nozzle when God decides to give the State of Washington a big ol’ enema, because Seattle is where it gets inserted.

Oh wait, Steiner is one of a multitude of leftist turds that need to be dislodged.

Oh Lord?

NOZZLES AWAY! :)

Its dreadful and downright dumb.

These chicken little environ-wackos want everyone to transport themselves by riding bicycles, while folks sweat in the summer and freeze in the winter. Not much in the intelligence department. They'd enjoy seeing the polar bears and wolves given citizen status. While the unborn continues to suffer.
