Lormand, you and the other trolls don’t get it.
We don’t agree with everything Savage says. But the thing is, no one owns him. He says what he thinks and doesn’t “carry water” for anyone or anything. He’s the most authentic voice in radio today.
What’s more, he’s a real human being. His show is not all about politics. Tuning into Savage, you could get discussion of Lao Tzu, a story about 50s New York City, top world news, a righteous rant, what makes putanesca sauce so great, dog stories, an everyday observation that reveals something new and startling. And the people who call in, they respond to this. It’s like a re-creation of the barbershop around the corner with the irascible barber holding forth and sparking discussion among the patrons. Or like that favorite loud uncle with the stubble and cigar smell who sounds rough but always brings over a ready laugh, books and music (and opinions) to share. People respond to Savage he is real, love or hate what he’s saying on a particular day, he does make ya think.
Could I respond to your little list? Oh, sure. Some things I disagree with, some I agree with, some are hyperbole (like you haven’t EVER “called our fellow Americans morons and idiots”?) He has a healthy disrespect for government and media. I could compile a similar list about any other talk show host: Rush especially.
Ultimately, who cares about a list like that? You either think Savage is worth your time to listen to, or you don’t. If you don’t, and you hate him, it seems like a waste of time to draw up little lists like a schoolgirl trying to get all the other kids to shun someone she hates. Are you afraid that the mere existence of opinions that you don’t like will “corrupt” all of us “children” who are so easily duped? Uh, thanks, but no thanks, and us listeners are quite capable of making up our own minds, without help from you, “Dad”.
It’s just hilarious to me how much time you trolls spend on these threads trying to tell us what not to listen to. We don’t care. We find you funny, and a little sad that you don’t have anything better to do with your time.
