He said tonight, after John's sharing about being broken, that he knew what he meant. My husband, as usual did not elaborate, but....... it's their thing. Those who have served. I am eternally grateful and humbled by those who willingly go into harms way.
My husband was not drafted. But he figured that rather then waiting to be drafted he would volunteer. He was in college and the protesters burned him up. He put his money where his mouth was and so did John McCain.
Give your husband a hug for me.
And thank you for being there for him. He may not be willing or able to talk about his ordeal, but I’m certain that he’s grateful that you understand why he can’t.
God bless your hubby for his service
and suffering. God bless you. We
can never repay you for your sacrifice.
Please, tell him how much we love and
honor him.
That goes for all who served and who
gave so much.

“I wasn’t my own man anymore .. I was
my country’s.”
Stirring statement. And that ending
was something ... swept thru that hall
like wildfire.
They’re replaying Cindy and family and
her speech now.
