I’ve stated it in many of my posts. John McCain has consistently stated we need to secure our borders first. I defended him even in his Juan days.

What does he intend to do with the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens already here? That's the issue. Even Obama and Hillary signed the 2006 Secure Fence Act, which passed the Senate 80-19.

I have seen him twice in Wisconsin and will also be at his rally in Cederburg WI tomorrow. Kabar, saying or implying it will happen in the first 100 days in office is a lie. We both know that..

I followed the McCain campaign four days each in SC and FL. I have heard his stump speech more than a dozen times. I am also an immigration activist with a grassroots organization that lobbies the Hill on the issue as well as state and local officials. I know what McCain's position is and have fought against it for several years. Unfortunately, he hasn't changed it and was very upset about the defeat of McCain-Kennedy. He is thoroughly committed to get an amnesty and will do whatever it takes to get one, whether he is in the WH or the senate.

Poll: Voters Unaware of Candidates’ Immigration Positions; McCain Supporters Farthest Off the Mark

We have GOT to secure our borders before any amnesty takes place, and not some virtual BS fence. If we allow another amnesty, those that get the amnesty will leave their present low paying jobs for full wages and better jobs for which they would now be eligible and that would leave all their previous low paying jobs for the next barrage of illegals to enter and fill and we will be right back where we are right now. It's so discouraging........

You are incorrect. Once can believe McCain or not, but this is his latest position on illegal immigration.
