What time is McCain scheduled to speak? I am scheduled to make calls at our McCain headquarters tonight, and there is a a McCain speech party on my calendar.
Good think it’s the last night though, I really need to get some sleep!

If there was a major chance of violence, it could come tonight!
Everything I’m seeing and hearing says that the anarchists are pretty frustrated that they haven’t been able to get anything big started. I sense that they’ll wanna go out with a large and loud splash.
Law enforcement is everywhere near Xcel Energy Center and there are a lot of ‘em in downtown Minneapolis. I work near several hotels where delegates are staying. The were cops and private security on hand to make sure the delegates could safely board their buses to go to the convention.
It’s hard to say where the anrachists will try to start something. Will they try to blockade the buses as they go in or out of Xcel Energy Center - and risk a large-scale confrontation with the police? Or will they try to disrupt one of the many post-convention parties? Or will they throw nails from the freeway overpasses leading to and from St Paul? They did this last night in Minneapolis.
Folks, it’s not hard to find out where many of these parties are being held. It’s in the newspapers. if it’s easy for me to find out, it’s easy for the anarchists to find out.
Today could be more interesting for what’s gonna happen OUTSIDE of Xcel Energy Center rather than what’s happening inside.

DU is in a veritable flat-spin today. They’re becoming noticeably divided into two camps:
1. Sarah Palin = Dan Quayle (i.e., they didn’t watch the speech)
2. “Oh sh-t”
Group #2 has been beating up group #1 for creating a situation that has totally backfired on their candidate.
Group #1 hasn’t showered since the Democratic Convention and hates women who don’t eat their young as a matter of principle. Then they accuse Group #2 of being Republican trolls.
Group #2 becomes flabbergasted and appears to commence a deep period of mourning as they foresee yet another election slipping away... by their own stupidity.
See, the thing about DU is this:
The adults never grew up, and the young adults are so self-centered, they believe they’re views are unassailable and can be forced upon others by vitriol and insult and profanity. They’ve wearing political suicide vests and think if they just blow up enough sidewalk cafes, their candidate will win.
They will lose again. And the lack of astute analytical genes guarantees they will lose again and again.
Bank it.
The thing is, the RNC needs to start putting Conservative candidates up against the Dem’s in key states and fully funding them. Pelosi, Murtha, Schumer, Reid, Boxer.. they all need to be defeated, but if the RNC won’t finance them, it’s hard to beat an incumbant. The Dem’s do it to us, turn about is fair play.

Gonna order a pizza, sit back and enjoy the speech and it'll be so nice to not have to watch the clock.
The last few days I missed their speeches in the entirety because of work, but some of the nurses turned them on in the rooms where we have intubated patients - they don't care what's on.
And alot of my co-workers came out of the political closet and I found out more and more of them are for the McCain/Palin ticket. And some of them even admitted they were registered Democrats!
