Thanks Kristinn. We were wondering who that was we saw being escorted out.
Ironic, strange, whatever you might wish to call the situation here, but we are in the sticks, rural area without any cable. We don’t do enough television to warrant Dish (I don’t watch it except for something like this convention myself, but my wife has some shows she likes), so we have the old antennae on top of the roof. The only television station of the local broadcasting we could get that aired the entire speech as it occured was PBS. KCET Channel 28.
None of the major alphabet networks, or locals’ broadcast the Republican Convention as they did the Democrat Convention. We flicked channels multiple times to confirm.
Other than the lineup of Lehrer’s guest commentator’s, they did a good job. The commentator’s did not surprise me with their attitudes.
Did you notice the PBS feed had several backside shots of her with the teleprompter during her speech? I hadn’t noticed it during Rudy’s beforehand. I’m thinking it is a slight toward her to show she has to use them. All of them do, of course.
