That’s just wrong. Don’t try to make it seem like “class” is a negative. Class is crucial. Government reflects it’s society’s civilization, and I want my government to reflect the class I know we are capable of bringing to this campaign.
This is not about being fair or unfair to the candidate, who thrust himself into the political arena. This is about whether it is right to treat private citizens like public figures. Just as the candidate cannot always control his/ her family, the family cannot control the candidate.
We need to be focusing on Obama’s past connections, his paltry record, his failure to challenge the corruption in the Chicago machine, his real estate scandal and his racist associations. We have not hit those issues adequately. Do we really want to carve out precious time to haul out some insignificant ancient dirt on Obama’s VP candidate’s daughter? This is a distraction we cannot afford.
Let’s let Gov. Palin be able to look into the cameras during the debates and take the high road on this issue. We can really hurt her if we act like jerks.
