We shall see.....I will get back to you in December. The facts are that NATO has a step by step process for admission and Georgia has been on track and is moving forward quite well.
just an example: a view days ago germany has official announced that it was wise to veto georgia in the past and that they WILL veto georgia again. it was shown speach on TV . and not only germany thinks this way. the news have been full of this here. believe me no way to join for georgia.

forget the ex soviet satellite states(i do not mean that they don´t count i mean we all know what they want). we all know what they think and how they feel.so no suprise. but europe is not only made of this countries. and the western european countries totally differ on this point. (and you should not forget that for example the EU is dominated most by the “western” countries). it was no accident that the EU agreed with one voice not to impose sanctions against russia. some ex sowiet states did want sanctions and they expressed this. but at the end EU said no sanctions and no EU country will impose sanctions only because of this. guess why?

Entrance into NATO is a process, not an election by posters on a BBC forum. Albania is ahead of Georgia in the process and believe me they are lucky to be there.

The EU is not the same as NATO. Not even close.

shure they do not make the decision. i only wanted to point out that georgia has not as many supporters in europe as they may think and russia not as many enemys as you think.
that was all.

The EU did, however, freeze all future negotiations with Russia.
The time is early yet. Russia has just begun her move to suicide as a country. She will continue to disgust the world over the next few months with more prelest and suicidal ideations.
God bless the Georgians. They are a wonderful people. I love them dearly.

Georgia has tremendous support and not just in Europe.
The support Russia has is not support but energy dependence.

don´t get me wrong i´m not here for playing the bad ass and tell every body that i think russia is wonderfull and doing the right thing. it may sound this way sometimes. i just want to bring in some positions that some countries (not all) and some people in europe have. yes the people of georgia do have general support in europe but their president? i don´t think so. yes energy is a problem.
but this is a 2 way street. EU needs russian energy and russia needs the money from the EU. so at the moment we are in bed with each other if we like it or not. this can be said for both sides.

No one supports a bully but some will kneel before one.
That's why I am proud to be an American. We don't kneel.

Also we Americans plan our military adventures. We don't rush into them. So don't think the fat lady has sung yet in Georgia. She is still on the sidelines preparing to go on stage.
By the way I am drinking Georgian wine, Kvanchkara, while we chat. It is quite good!!

you think the EU does kneel? this is about geo politics and a fact is that russia is way more important for the EU than georgia. this has nothing to do with georgia, it´s all about interests. EU is interested in the flow of gas from russia. EU is interested in export to russia. EU is interested in russian space cooperation..... i could go on and on. there is not much georgia has to offer. so no wonder that the EU is not willing to really harm the relations with russia over georgia. nor do the russians. it was not an accident why the russian praised the EU peace plan and want EU monitors send to georgia. it´s all about money and power on both sides.
