I've read many a post from you over the years here on FR.
I know you have strong opinions, as do many here on FR.
I have both agreed, and disagreed, with your positions here over the years, but I always assumed you were a conservative, and any disagreements I had with your positions could be classified as “agreeing to disagree”.
However, this post, and your other recent posts, do not rise to what I believed to be your conservative credentials.
Normally, to post from the Atlantic, from Andrew Sullivan, quoting a leftist, donating member of the Obama campaign in an article, with a lead-in comment motivating other FReepers to dissect the sour-grapes, innuendos, and falsehoods contained therein, would fit the conservative steve-b that I thought I knew.
But your recent postings, and in particular this one you posted without any comment about the sour-grapes, innuendos, and falsehoods contained therein, doesn't seem to be the old Steve-b.
The Steve-b I knew was fully capable of arguing logically about any concerns he might have about Gov Palin, resulting in some lively FR discussion about the pros and cons of her suitability for the VP spot.
Has someone stolen your FR account?
If not, I know you are better than this. Please rethink your approach. I always counted on you to add, not subtract, from the value of FR to conservatives, as well as all others who read FR for clearing away the garbage and getting at the truth (ref my tagline).
Call it an explosion of bitterness at realizing that the election is all over but the shouting.
I found it first with the following intro:
"Basically, Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton have only 2 things in common: their gender and their good looks.
I read this line and really couldn't shake that someone out there considers Hillary Clinton "good looking."
But, in any event, how did I originally come across it? Leo Laporte is pushing it as factual via his Twitter account. Do a google search -- it's everywhere (and multiplying).
