True, Joe did not sling the red meat that Zell Miller did, but his speech was a brilliant attempt to win over the moderates and independents.

I don’t think he will be calling Chrissy to a duel, but I’ll take him. He did a very good job in reaching out the indys and angry Dems.

I disagree. No candidate can win with his/her own party alone. I love the Bushes, but Lieberman can attract more votes that normally wouldn't vote for a Republican candidate. That is why I applaud their decision to have him talk today.

Zell was written off as a crazy senior citizen by the left as soon as his speech was over. Joe is in a different position and has leverage. They can be angry at Joe, but they can’t call him crazy. He is a much bigger threat to them. For real.
