My hat’s off to the young man. He had it under control.

Spot on. I can see why he's a rising star for us.

Hats off to all, including Nagin, for their performance so far. Haven't seen anybody "stuck on stupid" this time around.

BlanKo had a trial run with Ivan and she screwed that up too. Jindal did a phenomenal job period. Had he been elected back in 2003 he would have handled Katrina like he did this storm. The issue of “The Big One” was discussed during the gubernatorial debate between the two and Jindal gave a detailed step by step explanation on what he would do while Blanko basically said she would contact the media.

Republicans hope a competent performance by Mr Jindal this week will earn the party redemption three years after the Bush administration's botched handling of hurricane Katrina.

Typical media revisionism. It wasn't the President who botched Louisiana during and after Katrina, it was the State's DEMOCRAT Governor, who couldn't convince the Mayor of New Orleans to get serious about preparation.

What a difference a Republican Governor makes.

“At 24, he was recruited to run Louisiana’s department of health and changed a $400m budget deficit into a $220m surplus. “

Impressive!!
