Judging by the response from values voters on this thread, the overwhelming opinion is that "when life throws you a lemon, you make lemonade."
Posters on this thread are NOT typical of the voting public --they are basically political junkies and well tuned to the issues

If they think this was handled properly and with class and dignity, than the independent clueless voters who don't pay attention won't have a problem with it.
