I can say that she’s a 17 year old female and made her own decisions. No one can watch another person 24 hours a day, and the last I checked chastity belts are no longer fashionable.

I can say that it’s odd that the issue of being able to raise children and still be president didn’t come up with Barak Obama.

The whole thing is an elitist attack (with sexist undergirdings) against average Americans.

My dismay over this entire ‘revelation’ was the few in our ranks who wanted to tar and feather the girl and her mother.

I’m not excusing what happened. Good grief. However, I want to show the Palins forgiveness. Heaven knows I sure could use some in my life. My desire is to see this family move forward as best they can. I want Bristol Palin to become a beacon for other teens to practice abstinance or if the worst does happen, to show maturity by taking responsibility and not taking the EASY WAY OUT. I want positive things to come from this but for that to happen, there are people on our side who need to unbutton their collars and suck in some air.

Yes, Bristol Palin sinned. Haven’t we all. Yes her pregnancy is a mark on the family. I don’t know too many families in this day and age mark free—including Christian families. This young seventeen-year-old instead of having an abortion or giving up her child, is instead sacrificing the remainder of her youth to become a wife and a mother. That is atonement.

Its a sorry day when those on our side chose to pillory the family. Some of the disgusting remarks I’ve read on this site demonstrate that the stereotypes of intolerance & rigid thinking aren’t too far removed from the truth. The libs are wringing their hands and salivating with glee hoping Christians will devour each other over this.

Sara Palin has my vote; her daughter has my empathy; her family has my support. Where do you stand?
