Most (if not all) top of the line camera will place a fingerprint on the raw image detailing the camera, date, flash fired, ISO level and exposure settings. Just a bunch of info. The date is typically right and all that but I have pictures that were taken that have 2000 on it even though im pretty sure I wasnt in a time warp so I would blame a dead battery or some sort of glitch.
The truth of the matter is that she wasnt in office as gov in 2005 so there is reason to believe the date isn't the real date. Plus there is an interviewer and a camera standing there that could probably confirm the event.
