There is nothing candidate McCain can do to quell any damage resulting from an act of God, but there is a tremendous amount he can do to make the Republican Convention a memorable and vitally important to the future of the nation event by attending it with his Conservative running mate, Governor Sarah Palin.

Exactly.

Sure the pundits will laud the Republicans for delaying or diluting their convention, and sure, it would normally be the right thing to do.

HOWEVER, the tens of millions of dollars in prime time advertising for four days that would be lost--that every convention produces--canNOT be replaced. Sad, but true.
