Rationality would dictate:
IT’S A DONE DEAL ... PERFECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE .. FOR US ALL
You have 2 official, legitimate candidates for this election, in very turbulent times in this country and globally.
ONE of them will win.
One is an empty suit of 46 yrs, with approximately 150 days served in the Senate, who is the MOST liberal senator in Congress, loves abortion, social programs and taxes, who wants to reason with our enemies, has many years of questionable and outright documented domestic and (and likely foreign) terrorist/criminal affiliations, and exhibits completely idiotic and extremely unsound judgment.
The acceptable candidate for FReepers is John McCain ... obviously.
And, if you grasp that and all of your fellow posters have already obviously been to the edge of decision and chosen the most prudent and logical candidate, why waste your breath here?
It will not change anyone’s mind, and will likely brand you here as someone with no perspective or logical reasoning powers if you continue your unproductive and naive ranting.
Why continue?
You’re assignment .. should you decide to accept .. is to be brutally honest with yourself about the rationality and maturity of the rants you’re expressing and your goals in doing so.
I love my country. I treasure my vote. I know how many bled and died for that privilege and gift to me. I hope you feel the same.
When he publicly pledges to stay only one term and sets out three common-sense points (not amnesty, carbon credits, or bailouts) then I'll reconsider voting for him.
Otherwise, I'll cast my write-in or third-party vote for President, vote for Gilmore and Wolf, and move on to 2010 and 2012.
