This brilliant strategic and tactical maneuver has completely changed the dynamic of the election.

Besides confounding the opposition ( just watch TV, or visit the Kook sites... ) it tells me Senator McCain has an eye to the future of both country, and party.

Stay tuned- it is going to get "interesting..."

Women's Voting Patterns in Election 2008

Restoration Weekend

I was down in Florida covering David Horowitz's Restoration Weekend. The good news - the story is the Republican party and taking it back to its right roots. Everyone here gets it and knows why we failed.

I hope to get the word out on Modern Conservatives (did you volunteer yet to take the party back at Restoration_015 the grassroot level).

Michael Steele spoke earlier - knows what has to be done. He deserves the RNC chair - back to our conservative roots. But Michael Pence was the most precise - and best articulated what we are all thinking. He best defines the direction we must go in.  (Photo: Pence and Atlas)

Pat Cadell, Democratic pollster,  won't shut up. Caroline (Glick) and I are kicking each other under the table. I love Democrats that admonish Republicans.

My buds are here -- I am happy. Having seen Spencer yet ......

Pawlenty is up next. Why hasn't Pawlenty grabbed hold of  the Coleman/ Al Stanken debacle? He is allowing the election to be stolen from Coleman. I am not interested in tough speeches. Walk the walk and talk the talk. Ballots in the trunk ? Pawlenty, call your office.

FLASHBACK: Sarah Palin sues the Federal Government

WaPo Shocker: Palin Helped McCain Avoid Far Worse Loss ("would have been far worse" without base)

I have told this tale to a fare-thee-well ( search my posts ) but I'll tell it again:

I had decided early on that I could not vote for McCain- MF, backstabbing, other stuff-- until I got a closer look at Duh!1®'s crazy, quasi-religious supporters...

My wife- the former Democrat, never interested in politics-- stood up halfway through Sarah's first appearance with Mac, and stated:

"I want to vote for that woman!"

And so did I.

Without Sarah, and Joe the plumber, this would have been even worse a debacle.

I really do not give a damn about the "republican" brand- they are the Stupid Party. And yes, the Dems are Evil.

But if, when, and whatever for Sarah runs again- she has two supporters here who will do anything they can, to get her in office.

Sarah, and people like her, are the future. The rest? They are so Last Century...

Confessions of an ‘Ex-Feminist’

MARK STEYN: “I didn’t think I could like Sarah Palin more than I do, but the nancy boys at MSNBC bleating all over the screen about the Great Turkey Carnage is hilarious.”

More from Tim Blair. I still like Ann Althouse’s “candy-asses” remark. I’ll bet those guys have never even cleaned a fish . . .

Palin's star burns brightly as Oprah calls

NOW Celebrates the Defeat of the Female VP Candidate

"Our purpose is to take action to bring women into full participation in society — sharing equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities with men, while living free from discrimination."

National Organization of Women
September 16, 2008
Yeah, right.
In case there was still any doubt that NOW is not a women's group as much as it is a Far Left abortion rights group this ought to settle it...
Sweetness and Light and The National Organization of Women is celebrating the defeat of the female candidate- Sarah Palin.

NOW reported:
From Hope to Action to Victory
Below the Belt: A Column by NOW PAC Chair Kim Gandy
November 19, 2008

It’s only been two weeks since I stood in the drizzling rain and waited on line to cast my vote for hope and change. And the inauguration is still two months away, but already I can feel the shift. On Nov. 4, we the people elected Barack Obama the next president of the United States, and although he’s not yet in office, the act of making history and setting our nation on a new course has already been uplifting.

Women played a key role in this victory, voting in greater numbers than men, and casting their votes for Obama in higher percentages than men in nearly every state. Young people, African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic voters and LGBT voters added to the margin of victory with disproportionate support for Obama.

Now that we have an Obama-Biden administration to look forward to (honestly, Jan. 20 can’t come fast enough), the terrible funk we’ve been in for the last eight years has become even more apparent. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were the opposite of hope. They were cynicism and fear and greed and destruction. Bush and Cheney wore the people down, sapped their spirit. They (and their “decider effect”) are the reason people lack faith in government and the political process.

Sarah Palin To Close The Deal For Chambliss In GeorgiaIf she draws a huge crowd for Chambliss (compared to McCain, etc.) word will start to get out and other candidates will be looking for her support in 2010... the ole boys may be dismissive of her, but if she can turn out the votes they will be forced to sit up and take notice whether they like her or not. We didn’t have a single candidate who made people passionately turn out until McCain named Sarah...

World's oldest person dies at age 115 (Edna Parker)

How religion guides Palin

Sarah Palins’ relationship with God is the crux of why not just the left, but also the Republican party elites hate her. It’s a purely instinctive thing. The elites want to pretend that their governing principles somehow derive from their own inherent wisdom, and that reliance on God is OK for some, but not really necessary for proper governance. This world view is just as prevalent with Republicans as with the left, and is why we see so many articles by ‘conservatives’ that we have to be careful not to let the republican party be held hostage to the fundamentalists.

Republican core values (How about this one?)

Smaller Government - Keep the government out of the way of individuals and business and both will be more successful

Low Taxes - individuals and families know better where we should spend our money than does the government and lower taxes lead to a stronger economy

Strong National Defense - The U.S. Constitution puts national defense in the hands of the federal government and this responsibility should not be taken lightly

Personal Responsibility - Just as Government has responsibilities so do individuals and companies to contribute to society positively, obey the law, and avoid dependency on the government

Strong Families - Government policies should seek to encourage strong functional families and government policies should never undermine core family values.

Freedom - God gave mankind free choice, and it is the from the free exercise of that choice that citizens empower their governments to lead. Government is there to serve the people, not the other way around.
