Report: Hezbollah's New Missiles Have Range 'Israel Can't Fathom'

Hezbollah is armed with advanced Iranian-supplied missiles capable of reaching targets deep inside Israel, according to a report in Friday's edition of the London-based pan-Arab daily Al-Quds al-Arabi.

The report quotes senior Arab sources who claim that the Lebanon-based militia plans to use the missiles in the event Israel decides to attack Iranian nuclear facilities, or if the United States launches an offensive that has the potential to ignite a regional war.

The sources added that the new missiles have a range that Israel "cannot even fathom," and that the new arms are the "surprise" that Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nasrallah alluded to in his recent statements to the public. The report says the missiles are armed with a precision-guided mechanism that increases their accuracy. Advertisement

A spate of media reports in recent months have indicated that Hezbollah has stockpiled new arms, including anti-aircraft systems, that it has deployed in the mountainous regions of Lebanon. Israel has repeatedly warned that positioning these missile batteries in Lebanon would be viewed as "a step that tilts the balance."

Officials in Jerusalem say this would justify a preemptive strike on these weapons systems.

Iranian defense experts are also reportedly in Lebanon in an effort to assist Hezbollah in developing anti-aircraft capabilities.

Officials in Jerusalem say this would justify a preemptive strike on these weapons systems.

Given the exaggerations of the Iranian military lately, it's unknown (and doubtful) if these missiles really perform as advertised. It's likely the Iranians and Hezzies are baiting Israel into striking, then claim self-defense.

“Fathom” is the key here. How many fathoms deep is the Persian gulf?

Range 'Israel Can't Fathom'

Oh, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure Israel is familiar with nanotechnology.

The heat from Nukes the IDF posesses generates heat that Iran can “fathom” either?

“The report says the missiles are armed with a precision-guided mechanism that increases their accuracy”

This will enable Hezbollah to more accurately target elementary school kids and hospital patients.

Israel’s proper response should be to kill Hassan Nasrallah.

What! Go fishing in an ocean to catch the fish? Dry the ocean and the fish will die. MOAB's. About a dozen will do.

Giggle.

If true, my $$ is on Israel.....they know.

Syria would be proof that Israel know's.....ask 'em.

Syria was supposed to be using a state of the art Commrade air defense system. That worked out well.......

ISRAEL: Knock, knock.....

SYRIA: Who's there?

ISRAEL: Bombs.

SYRIA: Bombs who....?

ISRAEL: in 3...2...1...impact.

No, what the Hezzies are really saying is...."Oh Great and powerful Allah Ham Head, please hide us from the infidel Israeli prying eyes...."

Those manning any missle sites are dead men walking. They just don't know it.

MOAB’s are out of production in the US, a big mistake.

However, Hezbullah in Lebanon is only a nuke away. Don’t dry up the ocean, heat it up to boiling and have a terrorist fish-fry.

Another stunning accomplishment by the UN and French forces in southern Lebannon who were there to keep Hezbollah from reestablishing their missile launch sites.

More like they were human shields to protect Hezbollah while they rearmed. The UN & EU are worse then useless—they are complicit.

“MOAB’s. About a dozen will do.”

Although MOAB is cool to say, it is a relatively ignored bomb. WE really haven't even use them in combat.

Several other munitions are far more effective on far more targets than MOABS.

An why would you want to send a slow lumbering cargo plane over a known AA heavy area?

Just to rile up your own citizens when the C130 is shot down with a lose of your aircrews life?

These clown's fist-shaking threats sound like they are coming from angry, snotty children.

Since they are inbred and therefore devolved, there's no reason to expect anything more.
