Andrew Robinson did such a superb acting job in that movie that he basically typecast himself out of any other roles for years. I remember reading an interview where he said that people used to cross the street when they would see him walking towards them!

Dennis Miller had him on his show a couple of months ago, and it was a great interview. He said Don Siegel chose him for the part because of his 'Catholic schoolboy look', which he said he actually was in real life. I've seen the movie 2 dozen times, and he never fails to creep me out. Another role he did very well was the lead in the Liberace movie.
