I think I get why Sarah Palin is the choice, other than her obvious conservative credentials.
She will attack Obama (VP’s job)...but this is a white female attaking Obama...McCain already has the white male vote sowed up...not so with women. Therefore, have a female explain to that segment of the electorate why Obama is a false hope...I think the McCain campaign sees this as a better strategy than having a white guy like Romney et. al. attacking a black guy over his politics...

It's sad that we have to go PC in order to win, but I also think it was necessary. The Dems' final choices were a black and a woman. To have the GOP run two more old white guys wouldn't appeal to those that don't look at ideas or political philosophies (which is sadly a large portion of our nonthinking population).
