Oh please, oh please, oh please.... Palin would be as close to a slam-dunk pick as one could make. Conservatives love her, female Clinton voters would love her, the American people would love her... The appeal in picking her over Mitt Romney is beyond words. You and I see it exactly alike.

Pretty hard to pick a 2-year small state governor with only local experience before that, when campaigning against Obamas inexperience and while McCain has said over and over that he wants someone first of all, who can step in if anything were to happen to him.I can't see it coming back to bite McCain - how are the Dims and the MSM going to attack her short experience as a VP pick when she has more than the Dim Prez pick? It would be a beautiful thing to watch because I'm convinced they're stupid enough to go there...

If you get a tip of the planes number you can enter it in to the system and watch its progress. That is if a flight plan was entered and opened.
A jet going from Alaska to the continental U.S. would have to have filed a flight plan.
Better that the rest whose names have been floated, Pawlenty, Huckabee, Christ, and a whole host of RINOs.

When were they discussing it?
To: Migraine
Ok here’s a theory people. McCain has a bunch of prospects come to Dayton (including Palin). Tomorrow he will announce his pick and introduce the entire bunch of them. He will then announce that the GOP delegates will get to choose from this approved slate of VP candidates. They will all do the swing state tour together.
This would be a media bonanza. Not for the entire weekend alone. It would make the GOP convention a smash hit. The balloting could be spread over days with drama unfolding nightly. The bargaining, deals, speeches etc would create the kind of convention not seen since days gone by. Ratings through the roof and in the end a consensus GOP VP pick with an energized party.
Jeez. If this isn’t the plan I think it should be!
If McCain wanted he could lobby quietly for Lieberman. If he wins then he has obvously avoided a revolt.
To: jokyfo
You can argue that Governor Palin has less experience than Biden, but not less than “community organizer” Obama. This pick would work wonderfully.

Hey, I agree with you. It’s just that the Texans on this board think the world begins with a T and ends with an s.

OK, let’s be a little bit more complete on candidates’ geographical backgrounds:
Arizona/Alaska vs. Hawaii/Illinois with that little piss-ass state of Delaware thrown in.....
I’ll definitely take Arizona/Alaska anytime!!

There ya go...crush my hopes and dreams of getting close to Palin. Does make sense though and would be a media feeding. I doubt Palin would come out on top though.
