If I were to hazard I guess, I'd say it's because, like Jim Zumbo, he thinks the Second Amendment is about hunting, and that no one "needs" a semi-automatic firearm, of any kind.
How could the host of a hunting show disagree with the NRA on most issues? Perhaps he wants to retire....
